Who

What we keep

• Your email address, and whether you ticked the box for other mail.
• Where you came from, when the link carried it (for example a campaign tag).
• If you buy: the payment status, the amount and your country as Stripe returns them. Your card details stay with Stripe.
• If you book the workshop: your name, company, country and tax ID as you give them at checkout.
• If you send an enterprise brief: your name, company, team size, what you want built and your email.

Why

• To take your order and deliver the course or the workshop you bought (performing the contract).
• To answer an enterprise brief and prepare a proposal (steps you asked for before a contract).
• To keep the purchase in our accounts (a legal obligation).
• Other mail from Frederic, only if you ticked the box (your consent). You can stop it at any time with the link in each mail or by replying.

If you leave your email, don't buy and don't tick the box, we don't mail you.

Who else sees it

• Stripe, for the payment.
• Fly.io, which hosts this site in Amsterdam.
• Brevo, which sends the mail.
• Microsoft, Google, Meta and LinkedIn, only after Accept in the cookie bar.
• Pipedrive, our CRM, and the engineers who build enterprise setups, for enterprise briefs only.

We don't sell your data.

Cookies and measurement

Without a choice, or after Decline, no cookie is set and no outside tool loads. The site still counts page views and the steps of a purchase on its own server, with the campaign tag and referring site but no cookie, no identifier and no IP address.

After Accept, four tools load and set their cookies: Microsoft Clarity (heatmaps and session recordings, with what you type masked), Google Analytics 4, the Meta Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag. They measure visits and which ads lead to a purchase. Microsoft, Google, Meta and LinkedIn receive that data and may process it outside the EU under their own safeguards. You can change your choice any time with Cookies at the foot of every page.

How long

Purchase records for 7 years, as Belgian accounting law requires. An email that didn't buy and didn't tick the box: 12 months. Consent for other mail: until you stop it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and object to its use, by mailing frederic@lalumiereconsulting.be. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority, dataprotectionauthority.be.
